The CalArts Library serves as a vital resource for students, faculty, and researchers, offering a diverse collection of books, digital media, and academic resources. However, the current library homepage lacks intuitive navigation, accessibility, and modern UI/UX principles, making it challenging for users to find relevant materials efficiently. This project aims to redesign the CalArts Library Homepage with a more user-centered approach, improving usability, accessibility, and visual aesthetics while maintaining the unique identity of CalArts.

Based on the findings from a questionnaire interview conducted with current CalArts students, this review evaluates the CalArts Library homepage through four key lenses: general user needs, usability, aesthetics, and potential feature enhancements. The analysis provides insights into how the current platform serves its users and identifies opportunities for improvement to better align with modern UI/UX standards and user expectations.
